6 reasons why Baahubali: The Beginning is the biggest film of 2015!

Prepare yourselves Baahubali-ans! The trailer of the first installment is finally out. Are you ready to experience the biggest motion picture of 2015? Touted as the dream project of director S. S. Rajamouli, Baahubali is all set to create havoc with its massive presentation. When we say massive, we mean it… Literally! With gigantic sets designs, ensemble cast and 100 crores being invested in the project, we can no longer wait for this movie to release.

However for those unaware of the film, Baahubali is a two-part Indian epic period film. The first part – The Beginning which is set to release this July, acquaints us with the story of two brothers, who are at war with each other.

With the buzz about the film already creating a lot of anticipation, here are 6 reasons that make Baahubali the biggest release of 2015:

Great minds think alike:

Acclaimed for their stupendous works, National Award winners, S. S. Rajamouli, Sabu Cyril and V. Srinivas Mohan have joined hands for this ambitious project. With great minds putting in their best efforts, we see no reason why the magic wouldn’t work.

100 Crores:

Baahubali is touted as one of the most expensive films in the history of Indian cinema. With the production house pooling in 100 crores for a project, director S. S. Rajamouli aims to challenge Hollywood directors, and make a spectacular VFX film on an Indian budget.

Ensemble cast:

The film features a potpourri of talents such as Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamanaah. If sources are to be believed, the actors have undergone several workshops and training for the film.

Two renowned directors, one movie:

When two renowned directors from two different film industries agree to collaborate, we know there’s something magnificent in store! Ditto is the case with Baahubali, as director Karan Johar has agreed to present the Hindi version of the film. Excited now?

The best of CGI and VFX:

90% of the film is brimming with complex CGI and VFX shots, and a whopping amount of 85 crores is invested in the special effects, alone. With 600 artists from all around world working on the project, the curiosity is already killing us!

A BBC feature:

When BBC wants to cover it, you know it’s a big deal. Yes, Baahubali was one of the few films that were mentioned in BBC’s documentary – 100 Years of Indian Cinema (2013)!
