Today, Bon Jovi is one of the best-selling bands of all time. Here is a list of what we feel are some of the most underrated songs of the band and Jon’s, which you may or may not have heard but you must definitely give a few more listens:

These Days

A song about hope.

Best lines

I know Rome’s still burning, though the times have changed,

This world keeps turning round and round and round and round, these days.

Thank You For Loving Me

A song of appreciation.

Best lines

When I couldn’t fly, oh, you gave me wings.

You parted my lips, when I couldn’t breathe.

Thank you for loving me.

Ugly

A song about discovering inner self and beauty.

Best lines

And I wish I was a camera sometimes, so I could take your picture with my mind;

Put it in a frame for you to see, how beautiful you really are to me!

Dry County

A song about unemployment, desperation and eventual hope.

Best lines:

I cursed the sky to open, I begged the clouds for rain,

I prayed to God for water, for this burning in my veins.

Stick To Your Guns

A song about conviction and confidence.

Best lines

There’s no living in the backseat,

If you’re gonna drive through town.

Something To Believe In

A song about despair.

Best lines

If there’s nothing but survival, how can I believe in sin?

In a world that gives you nothing, we need something to believe in.

Let It Rock

A song about celebration.

Best lines

It’s alright if you have a good time,

It’s alright if you want to cross that line,

To break on through to the other side.

Happy birthday, Jon Bon Jovi! We hope this one is a Bed of Roses.
