Dwayne Johnson recently starred in the reboot of Jumanji that was hugely successful. He will now be seen in Rampage, which happens to be an adaptation of a video game of the same name. It seems like he may hold the power to revive old favorites. There are many other movies that need to be remade with The Rock, and here are some of them:
George of the Jungle
We know The Rock can pull off long hair and chiseled abs as he did in Scorpion King. George of the Jungle's sequel already starred a different actor from the first one, so changing George once more shouldn't be an issue. Also, we've already seen the badass side of Johnson in the jungle in movies like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Journey 2, so the next obvious step is to see him play a man brought up in the jungle.
Who wouldn't love to see a comedy where The Rock struggles to babysit unruly children while secretly being a kickass spy? Vin Diesel was great in the first one and Johnson shares a lot of similarities with him. A remake of The Pacifier would be an easy hit.
Robocop is one hero that badly needs a comeback. Maybe Robocop 2.0 could be a little less 'robo' and a lot more 'Rock'. We already know he is interested in running for president to serve the American public, but even if that doesn't happen anytime soon, it would be great to see him as a beacon of justice on screen.
Yes, there's already a remake of Jurassic Park with Chris Pratt in the lead, but there can never be enough dinosaurs. We would even settle for Johnson joining Pratt in his Jurassic World adventures.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's role in The Terminator is iconic, but a classy remake starring Dwayne Johnson wouldn't hurt. Technology has improved and there's so much more to explore. As long as there's a good script, he would fit into the sci-fi action franchise seamlessly.
The Rock definitely has the ability to be the star in a movie filled with animated Looney Tunes characters. Only, instead of basketball, it could be about football as Johnson would be wonderful as a star of an American football team or a wrestler, as he is one in real life.
Which other movies do you think should be remade with The Rock? Let us know in comments below and don't forget to see him in Rampage, which releases on April 13.
