6 movies you need to watch: April 2015

 The world cup is over, schools and colleges are closing for vacation and our favorite T20 tournament is going to begin! All this means only one thing. Yes, it’s the start of summer! And the film industry is giving us plenty of ways to cool off by with a fun bag of releases for this month. From Mani Ratnam to Mohanlal, the big-wigs of the south film industry gearing up with a release. We give you a list of 6 movies that you don’t want to miss!

Bhaskar The Rascal (April 15th)
Hit filmmaker Siddique teams up with Mammooty after a gap of 10 years to deliver Bhaskar the Rascal. Mammootty plays rough and rude Bhaskar, a businessman who lacks refinement. Nayantara plays Hima, a confectioner who is everything Bhaskar is not. What happens when the two meet? That forms the rest of the story. Touted to be a commercial entertainer, the movie will have a mix of romance, comedy, action and drama. The film also marks the comeback of Nayanatara in the Malayalam film industry.
Kanchana 2 (April 17th)
After giving us solid horror films like Muni and Kanchana, Director and actor Lawrence is back with Kanchana 2! How different is it from the first two films? Does the theme involve revenge again?  We can only wait and watch. But we are pretty sure the comedy will be fantastic in the film.
O Kadhal Kanmani (April 17th)
Touted to be a sequel of the classic film Alaipayuthe, O Kadhal Kanmani is Mani Ratnam’s take on young and modern  romance. Dulquer and Nithya Menen play a young couple, who are keen on having a relationship without any attachments. Sounds like an interesting watch, right? And… Oh and did we mention there’ll be lots of sweet PDA.
Ranna (April 24th, Tentative release date)
Kannada film buffs have something to get excited about, as Sudeep Sanjeev‘s Ranna is slated for release this month. Said to be a remake of the super-hit Telugu film Attarintiki Daredi, Ranna might very well be a box-office winner.
Dohchay (April 24th)
After receiving accolades for his debut film Swamy Ra Ra, director Sudheer Varma is ready with his second film, Dohchay. Starring Naga Chaitaniya and Kiriti Sanon this big budget film is said to have a high action quotient. This also marks Naga Chaitaniya’s 10th film.
Vai Raja Vai (May 1st)
This movie has been in the making for a long time now. It stars Gautham Karthik and Priya Anand, and has gambling as its theme. Directed by Aishwarya Dhanush, the film stars her actor husband, Dhanush reprise his role as Kokki Kumar. Now that’s one scene we wouldn’t want to miss.
