Some of your favorite actresses from television, film, and comedy are coming together! Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling will be seen playing prominent roles in Ava DuVernay’s sci-fi adventure drama – A Wrinkle in Time. Based on the novel by Madeleine L'Engle, the movie follows the adventures of Meg Murry (Storm Reid) as she tries to rescue her father from a different planet. It is certainly one of the biggest Hollywood releases of March and one we are most looking forward to.
What’s A Wrinkle in Time About:
Meg Murry finds it hard to fit into school, especially since her astrophysicist father, Alex (Chris Pine), disappeared. She dearly loves her siblings and is closest to her youngest brother, Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe). One day, Meg, Charles, and Calvin (Levi Miller) – a guy from Meg’s school – explore an old haunted house near town, where they meet Mrs. Which (Oprah), Mrs. Whatsit (Reese), and Mrs. Who (Mindy). Mrs. Which tells Meg how her father is being held captive on a distant planet, under an evil grip. Meg has to now go on an adventure with Charles and Calvin to rescue her father, but a lot more lies in store for the trio.
L'Engle’s book was first made into a film for television by Disney in 2003. 15 years later, this is the first feature film adaptation of the novel. With a fantastic cast of popular actors, A Wrinkle in Time is definitely going to pull crowds to watch this supernatural drama. It has something for all kinds of movie fans – action, fantasy, music, thrills, and even a little bit of comedy. Ramin Djawadi, best known for his scores for Game of Thrones, Westworld, and Iron Man, is the musical composer for the film, with songs by Sade, Sia, DJ Khaled, Demi Lovato, and more. Suffice it to say, the whole world awaits its release.
A Wrinkle in Time will hit theatres worldwide on March 09, 2018. This is also slated to be its Indian release date, so you can catch this film with the world this Friday. Don’t forget to visit the blog to read our review of the film and check out more Disney releases of 2018 here.
