 Indian culture, like all other cultures, is incomplete without its music and melodies. As is mirrored wonderfully through Indian movies, especially the Hindi film industry, songs form an integral part of all situations – tragic, comic, celebratory, or amorous. With a slew of talented artistes, we often witness intersection and intertwining of forms of art. Experimenting remains the one thing that binds the artistes together. Bollywood has spawned many powerhouse talents. Actors, in their bid to enhance their craft, often dabble into other skills. Many actors have chosen to lend their voices to songs. The neophytes, the veterans and even the enshrined have taken a stab at singing. Have a look!

Arguably the greatest star of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is not just blessed with great acting skills, but also great vocal chords. He has lent his voice to songs from his films like ‘Baghban’, ‘Nishabd’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Khabhi Gham’ etc.
Farhan Akhtar

Having donned many hats, Farhan Akhtar’s skills as a minstrel were discovered through Rock On, a film that portrayed him a musician. Having sung many songs since, Farhan has proven to be a true artiste.

Known for having stolen innumerable hearts, through her acting and dancing skills in her heyday, Madhuri Dixit also managed to get people to swoon over her voice through ‘Kaahe Chhede’ from her film Devdas.
Aamir Khan

Considered one of finest actors of Bollywood, Aamir is known for his dedication and attention to details. An artiste of his caliber was bound to dabble. He lent his voice to ‘Aati Kya Khandala’ in ‘Ghulam’ and ‘Bum Bum Bole’ in Taare Zameen Par.
