It was a fantastic Sunday for all the cricket fans. The men in blue triumphed over with ease. Without a single seat vacant at the stadium, the India vs Pakistan match lived up to its hype. Amidst all the pre-match discussions, Akshay Kumar was also excited about the India-Pakistan clash. In his recent interview with Star Sports, Akshay Kumar was asked where will he be watching the India-Pak match. He replied saying he will be in America during the game and will probably be watching the game in the toilet, on his iPad. Baffled? Don't worry, this comment was in regards to his upcoming movie Toilet – Ek Prem Katha.
Much before this interview, one of his twitter posts had a video of him and Bhumi Pednekar, watching a cricket match inside the toilet. Off late, Akshay Kumar has been involved in spreading awareness for Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. His Twitter posts have made his intentions clear about bringing in a change, where every house in India should have a toilet. In his latest post he said that 50 percent of the rape cases in India could be avoided, if we start building toilets. The actor also met Mr. Narendra Modi for discussing the need for building toilets and the latter, just like us, was impressed by the actor’s concern for social issues.
He is also seen promoting his movie and at the same time giving out the message of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan to build a toilet in every home. He has smartly used the cricket platform to promote this social cause as well as his movie at the same time. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar will be seen on Star Sports promoting the trailer of their new film, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha. The actor has strategically planned this promotion on Star Sports on 11th June as India takes on South Africa in the ICC Champions Trophy. This sports platform will not only help them promote their movie trailer but at the same time will amplify the social awareness across the entire country. Isn't this a very smart move by Mr. Khiladi?
