While the country had been eagerly waiting for the release of Sridevi's Mom, the trailer of Arjun Rampal's Daddy has distracted many and grabbed a good deal of limelight. Here's good news, even though the title of the two movies is on same lines, we assure you, the stories are poles apart.
In and as Daddy, the usually-a-good-guy Arjun Rampal shows us that there's more than just that to him. After starring in the popular musical drama Rock On and its sequel, and playing the good cop in Kahaani 2 comes the role of Arun Gawli, who was not exactly known for his philanthropic activities.
Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia, the movie is a biopic of the gangster turned politician Arun Gawli and the trailer that released yesterday is just a sneak peak into his life. While the 2-minute trailer felt a little short, it still gave us a lot of insights on what Mumbai in 1970s was like and also dropped enough hints on what to expect from the movie but what we absolutely loved was Arjun Rampal's look and how perfectly he has nailed the accent of the Marathi manoos. In case you thought that was all, the movie also stars Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rajesh who also play significant parts in the movie.
Now that the excitement is built, let us tell you that the wait isn't too long. The movie hits the theatres on the 21st of July. You can keep visiting this space for more information and updates and review for Daddy.
