Art Hop: Don’t be a bore. Hop and explore !

"Don’t be a Bore! Hop and Explore!" Read the pamphlet which a friend of mine gave me a week back. It felt interesting and fun to know what this ‘not being a bore’ was all about. I mean each one of us experience some amount of boredom in our lives everyday. Most of us are caught in the mundane cycle of everyday routine and doing same thing over and over again. It just sucks out the fun and zest from our lives. And then, we feel a deep impulse to break away from the cycle and experience something which makes us feel alive, in fact, to feel a life less ordinary! I was also among a few others who craved for that sort of boost and felt like attending the Art Hop festival. The Art Hop Festival was held this Sunday, or shall I say, one of the coolest Sundays ever! Infact, calling it a sort of a journey will be a better way to describe it.

How else can one talk about a festival which has so much to offer in a single day? If you get a chance to visit restaurants, bars, cafes and galleries, surely the hangover is going to last. Add to that, a happening crowd, so that you get a chance to interact with them and experience the same level of enthusiasm. It is worth the effort. Not only this, it helps you grow up a bitand you end up knowing a little more about all things sundry in a jiffy. I felt the same this Sunday after attending and participating in a lot of activities in Bandra where Art Hop happened. The enthusiasm and the energy was felt throughout, and it made me sad to know that the day was about to end soon. There was little chance that I would attend something like this festival ever again. And then, the tinge of sadness suddenly turned into a blast of excitement (yet again) as soon the official Art Hop party started. It was so infectious in its energy where musical performances made everybody dance and party like mad, made this wonder-trip a really cool one in its true sense!

Wait, is it getting too long? And yet, I haven’t told you anything about the events at the festival. Well, if you have read this, stay tuned to know more about the festival (not going to be a description or something), but something which will make you feel that you shouldn’t miss this festival, called Art Hop, the next time it happens in the city.
