Out of the many things Mumbai is known for, one is probably the nightlife. That's right, a Saturday night can be without food but certainly not without good music. One such hyped music event that was happening around the city was the Mumbai Music Festival. With the kind of build-up they had, I totally thought it was something I should check out, and so I did. Here's my review of what I thought about it.
Being held at one of the top 10 nightclubs of Mumbai, Matahari, I was pretty sure this event wasn't going to be a failed one. The 12-hour long event started at 4 pm but knowing the Mumbai crowd, only picked up by midnight. Various national and international DJs like Zaeden, Teri Miko, Lloyd, Madoc, Nanok, DJ Atul and DJ Vikky kept the audience on their feet till early morning.
While Atul's performance was all about the dhol, which was probably the best part of the night, Vikky's Bollywood, EDM, Trance & Punjabi along with LLyod's perfect blend of EDM and Bollywood was at par. 1-4 am saw the most popular songs from 90s along with popular remixes of our favorite retro numbers leaving people spellbound.
Overall, the night ended quite smoothly for all those who decided to attend the event post 10 pm. In any case, the night was fun with some great music and amazing performances. If you missed it this time around, make sure you catch the next time it's in the city.
