The most awaited Bollywood films of 2015

Are you still suffering from an excruciating migraine after watching Humshakals? Easy there… Because this list is going to make you feel better about Bollywood once again. All you cinephiles – brace yourselves, because 2015 is going to be a mega year for Bollywood.

Though 2014 gave us disaster films like Humshakals, it also entertained us with movies like Queen and Highway. While some movies ran to packed houses, most of them witnessed empty seats! Anyway, it’s time to move on and welcome the new year with a smile.
 
Bollywood buffs, without further delay, here’s a list of the most anticipated Bollywood films of 2015.
 
Tevar

 
The song "Superman" featuring Arjun Kapoor is already a hit. Slated to release on January 9, 2015, Tevar stars Sonakshi Sinha, Arjun Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai in leading roles. A remake of the Telugu hit Okkadu, Tevar traces the story of a Kabaddi champion played by Arjun Kapoor.
 
Detective Byomkesh Bakshi

 
So much excitement! Releasing on April 10, this is the most-awaited YRF release of the year. The film stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Bengali actress Swastika Mukherjee, and is based on a fictional character created by renowned Bengali author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. It follows Byomkesh as he first ventures into the dark world of crime.
 
Bajirao Mastani
Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be back in 2015 with his dream project Bajirao Mastani. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, the film is a period drama based on the life of Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife Mastani. We just can’t wait to see the sizzling hot couple Ranveer and Deepika on screen once again!
 
Dil Dhadakne Do
 

 
Celebrate good life and love, Zoya Akhtar style with Dil Dhadkne Do. With a stellar cast including Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar, Dil Dhadkne Do revolves around a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip. Sounds fun? June, come soon!
 
Jagga Jassos
Meet the Tintin of Bollywood – Ranbir Kapoor. We definitely missed Ranbir Kapoor this year. However, fans will get to see a totally new avatar of Ranbir in Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jassos. What’s better? He will be paired opposite Katrina Kaif. Rumor has it that Ranbir’s character is similar to Tintin. Now, that’s something we would love to watch! The film releases on August, 2015.
 
Piku
 

 
Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Piku traces the beautiful relationship between a father and a daughter. Starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, Piku promises lot of tender moments and laughs. Also, Big B will be seen sporting a paunch and riding a bicycle on the streets of Kolkata.
 
Bombay Velvet
 
 
This Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer is set in Mumbai between the 1950s and the ’70s. The film will trace how the city became a metropolis. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karan Johar, Raveena Tandon and Kay Kay Menon, among others.
