“Begum, tu phir boli?”: Celeb tweets that rocked Twitter

Are celebrities becoming increasingly reckless when it comes to speaking their mind on social media or are we over-reacting a little too much? While, till a few years back, their PR agencies had total control over what and how stars spoke to the media, nowadays, they have more freedom to voice their opinions, like the rest of us; thanks to the light-blue birdie called Twitter. As the number of star-tweeters increases, so do instances of them facing flak for their words. While enough has been said about the recent tweets by Salman, there have been other instances where celeb tweets have caused uproar. We say that before saying, "Begum, tu phir boli?"- let’s take a reality check.

WE DIDN’T GET THESE JOKES

Rishi Kapoor‘s Twitter wish to Huma Qureshi
While Huma got the joke, many online were infuriated with what was a ‘personal joke’.

Raveena’s cricket joke
Why would people even think that the actress is being serious when she starts with "HAHAHA" ? But then again, why would we think before reacting?! *SIGH*

WHEN WE SAID "NO OPINIONS, PLEASE"

Neha Dhupia‘s anti-Modi tweet
Trolls followed after that tweet and didn’t stop till they had talked about her entire Bollywood career, or lack thereof.

WHEN WE WANTED CELEBS TO SPELL-CHECK THEIR TWEETS

Shahid Kapoor made a miss-take!
He tweeted ‘girlgand’ instead of ‘girl gang’ and the twitterati had a field day! #girlgand was trending for an entire day.

BUT THE MOST EPIC FAIL WAS:

Jackky Bhagnani’s tweet in which he calls Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala "masala"! Get the PR agency back, Jackky!

So we know stalking celebs on twitter is turning out to be our national pastime, but let’s find something better to do guys, and raise hell only when we need to. Like they say, pick your battles! And your words, in this case!
