“Kabaddi, Kabaddi, Kabaddi…” is going to be the word on everyone’s lips this monsoon. After a super hit inaugural season, Pro Kabaddi League
is back with its 2nd edition. The ground and pound, the agony of defeat and the joy of triumph. Yes, like any other sport, Kabaddi is driven by emotions and the desire to win. Thanks to Pro Kabaddi League, the sport was finally getting the recognition it deserves and its huge success was an example of how much India loves the sport.
So for those who have no clue about this sport, here are a few rules that you need to know.
There are two teams with 7 players on each side. The basic aim is to touch a player
from the opponent side and make a successful return to your side. The person who enters the opponent’s half (raider) should keep chanting “KABADDI” till he enters his own half. Simple? Sure, but once you see the guys trying to stop you from doing so, it won’t sound simple. Players are required to maintain high levels of fitness. But Kabaddi is a sport that’s demanding, both physically and mentally. With high-intensity and fast paced action, Kabaddi makes for entertaining viewing. Raw action and pure display of strength and commitment – men putting in all their power into the game and the tactical masterminds that use brains over strength. It has even attracted a host of celebrities towards the sport, and you can be assured to spot many a face at the stadium. Like any sport, watching Kabaddi LIVE is a unique experience and one that cannot be missed. The atmosphere, the energy and excitement make you feel like you’re a part of something bigger.
One of the teams to look out for in this season’s Pro Kabaddi League is Bengal Warriors. A squad that boasts of top-notch players and management, the Bengal outfit has the potential to overpower any team in the league with ease. With the services of Jang Kun Lee, their star raider, Warriors seem ready for the new season. Are you ready? The team needs your support in their corner. Enough of “Korbo Lorbo Jeeto,” Bengal, it’s time to say “India, Ei Baar Aamra Dekhiye Debo.”
