With the kind of movie Wonder Woman was, DC has firmly set themselves in the race to establish itself as the best cinematic Universe. With the recent release of The Mummy, even Universal Studios have joined the race with their Dark Universe. The concept of a shared cinematic universe which was once associated with Marvel is now shared with the other contenders. It is obvious that Marvel had to do something to establish their lead. No, they are not giving their host of female superheroes a chance in the limelight but they did release the Black Panther trailer.
Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther was introduced to us in the Civil War and he even got a place in one of the credits scenes which ensures that we will see more of him. T' Challa's father met a cruel death at the hands of Helmut Zemo. Once the team has vanquished Zemo, it is time for T'Challa to return to Wakanda which has been without a ruler since his father died. The trailer opens in an interrogation room where we see Ulysses Klaue (from Avengers: Age of Ultron) sans a claw and Everett K. Ross (from Captain America: Civil War). Mr. Klaue asks Ross about his thoughts on Wakanda and when Rose describes it as a third-world country, Klaue informs him that he couldn't be more wrong.
We are then taken to Wakanda which looks technologically advanced yet primitive at the same time. The secret of their existence and their location is a close-guarded secret and as you see more of Wakanda, you can understand why. T'Challa is considered the richest superhero ever and it is about time we enter his world. Not just the excitement of experiencing something new in the MCU, but also the cool moves and gadgets we see makes us excited for the movie.
Have you seen the trailer yet? If you haven't, watch it below and tell us in the comments how excited you are for the movie which is set to release in February, 2018.
