Bollywood @ Cannes 2016: Who Wore What

The 2016 edition of the Cannes Film Festival has begun, and as usual, a few Bollywood celebrities are a part of it. Two Hindi films, Sarbjit and Raman Raghav 2.0, are slated to premiere at the prestigious fest. The cast and crew of both films will be present at the screenings, and while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has already made several appearances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has left for the fest just two days ago. Sonam Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat may not have a film to promote, but they, too, are currently at Cannes. All of these celebs are flaunting their designer wear, and here are some of the outfits that brought out really strong reactions:

Aishwarya’s purple-colored lipstick has become the butt of many jokes on social media and the actress is receiving a lot of flak for choosing the odd shade. Out of the many outfits she wore, nothing suited her better than this red gown

Sonam Kapoor Sonam kapoor at Cannes - BookMyShow

We wonder what Sonam Kapoor was thinking while wearing this Ralph & Russo custom-made gown. The fashionista of B-town definitely disappointed us with the look. However, she more than made up for it with this beautiful Rimzim Dadu black-and-blue saree.

Mallika SherawatMallika Sherawat at Cannes 2016 - BookMyShow

A regular at Cannes, Sherawat always surprises us with her starkly different outfits. At the opening ceremony of the festival, she wore an off-shoulder Georges Hobeika gown, which would have worked if it didn’t have that blue-colored trail. Her best look this year was in this flowy silver gown. This one, too, was designed by Hobeika, and Malaika looked fab in it.

Last year, Richa Chadha sported some really atrocious outfits while promoting her film, Masaan. This year, too, she disappointed us with this gold saree. We hope she wears better outfits at the upcoming events for Sarbjit’s promotions.
