The movie which spoke about women-empowerment not only impressed the critics but also worked at the box-office. Tapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan, in particular, earned rave reviews for their performances in the movie. Baar Baar Dekho and Akira, on the other hand, were out of theaters within a week. The failure of the two movies, especially Baar Baar Dekho, came as a surprise as it boasted of a stellar cast and great production values. After releasing the teaser in August, Karan Johar launched two songs of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, last month. Both, the title track and Bulleya, are currently ruling all charts. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil trailer was released in September and it crossed seven million views in a short time. The film releases on Diwali and will clash with Shivaay at the box-office.

India’s ODI and T20 captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni joined Sushant Singh Rajput for the promotions of his biopic. M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, which showcases the cricketer's journey, released last week and took the box-office by storm. The film is touted to become one of the biggest hits of 2016.

Shah Rukh Khan has been trying to convince Rakesh Roshan to avoid the clash between Raees and Kaabil for a while now. The veteran filmmaker, however, is in no mood to listen as he believes that he had locked the release date in advance, and it is Khan who needs to move his film.
MNS asks for ban on Pakistani artistes
The political party, MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has threatened to stall the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees. They claim that Pakistani actors must not be allowed to work in Bollywood films. Due to this controversy, Fawad Khan left the country, and it is reported that he won't be returning anytime soon.
