I personally thought movies like Welcome to Sajanpur, Amir and A Wednesday were some some of the best films of 2008. While they all ended up making money – its a pity they do not perfom as well as “blockbusters” with nothing but stars in this celebrity crazy nation.
It takes a slumdog millionare for the country to sit up and take notice of good cinema and not some of our own homegrown talent!

    i totally agree ASh,
i really loved aamir and a wednesday… i think its high time yash raj and others realise that sexy location is not what indian audience wants to see… i think Discovery and national geographic fulfills our need in that aspect!
i jus wish the film industry grows up as they fail to realize that their audience has come a long way!!!
