As much as we love them and would want to be in their shoes, we have to agree – the life of a celebrity is not as easy and glamorous as it looks. Behind the stardom, the massive fan following and the super-hit blockbusters lie many sleepless nights, immense hard work and of course a lot of struggle. Not only that, sometimes the character even demands the actor to take roles that are far different from their regular lifestyles, which is not easy. Here are some celebrities who went out of the way only for a role that would do justice to the film.
She started her career with Hum Paanch and is praised and appreciated for almost every role that she has done, be it Bhool Bhulaiya, Paa, Kahaani or Dirty Picture. Vidya’s role for Dirty Picture was not easy. She gained 12kgs for the role of Silk and not only was she applauded for the same, but she also shut all the haters and the gossip with the huge success of the movie.
Randeep has given his best for almost every movie that he has worked on but his transition for Sarabjit stands out amongst all. Losing 18kgs in 28 days is not only challenging but also requires great dedication and hard work.
Known to be quite the perfectionist, Aamir has made a point to surprise his audience with a different look every time; be it an engineering student for 3 Idiots or the first one to start the 8-pack-abs for his film Ghajini. Aamir is all set to surprise his fans yet again, with his look in Dangal, for which he has supposedly gained 25 kgs!
Let’s face it, no matter how good or bad Chennai Express was, we absolutely loved Deepika and her Tamil accent all through the movie. The actress, however, went through a lot of practice and struggle to make it seem natural.
Since we are talking about versatile actors, why just stick to the newer lot? Kamal Haasan’s performance in Chachi 420 was, and still is, remembered as one the most remarkable performances Bollywood has ever seen.
