You Won’t Use A Curling Iron Ever Again!

Curly hair often looks gorgeous. However, getting it to curl with a curling rod is not always the healthiest thing. The heat emitted from a styling iron is not very hair-friendly and can cause serious damage, leaving your hair in not-so-great condition.

But ladies, you don’t always need to use a styling iron, and can achieve those waves sans heat. Don’t believe us? Well, we have come up with a list of tips and tricks that can help you achieve those waves without having to turn that iron on. Get ready to give your hair a break from the heat.

Make Tiny Braids
If you wish to use this method, wash your hair the day before.
When your hair has dried a little, put your hair in small braids. The thickness and number of braids depend on how curly you want your hair to be. Smaller braids will give you tighter waves, while a larger braid will give you looser waves.
Next, secure your braids with hair ties and leave them overnight.
The next day, gently take off the hair ties and use a hairspray to set your hair in place.

Hair Band
Before you begin, brush your hair and mist it with water below the ear level.
Next, slide a headband over parted hair.
Dividing your hair into subsections, twist every strand away from your face. Loop the twists around and through the headband.
Once complete, leave your hair for a few hours (preferably overnight).
To release, remove your headband and run your fingers through the curls.

Bobby Pins
To execute this method, you need to wet your hair slightly.
Apply some styling cream before you coil sections of hair. Pin them up with a bobby pin and sleep on them.
Let them loose in the morning.

First, part your hair down the middle. Gather one side into a pony tail and secure the other side with a hairclip.
Before tucking in the chopstick, twist the ponytail over it. Repeat on the other side.
For extra support, you may want to secure the chopsticks with a hair tie.
Leave the chopsticks on for a few hours before you unroll your hair.

Sock Bun

For a sock bun, cut off the toe of an old sock and roll it into itself.
Put your hair in a ponytail using a fabric hair tie and place the sock bun at end of the ponytail.
Next, roll your hair up into the sock bun until you keep inverting the bun over and over again.
Give your bun one extra roll to secure it when you reach the top of your head.
Leave it on overnight as you get your beauty sleep. In the morning, you’ll have some pretty curls.
