Produced by Subhash Ghai and directed by Shashi Sudigada, "Cycle Kick" explores the yearn for unadorned pleasures for life. This flick, from the efforts of the students of Whistling Woods, has made a satisfactory entry in the market with new-fangled talents.
The film revolves around the two brothers Ramu and Deva who struggle for a decent livelihood by repairing a trodden cycle in order to solve their monetary crisis but soon the cycle gets stolen by Ali who reckons the cycle to be his status icon. The film then takes a 180 degree turn wherein the two foes (Ramu and Ali) together battle it out with the wealthy spoiled brats in a match of football to attain the cycle which was trodden over again leading to a match between them. Ultimately, Ramu and Ali earn their lost pride i.e. the cycle by winning the game.
The film doesn’t reach the heights anticipated by the spectators as Shashi Sudigadu with his average directorial deftness has been a little less than level of being convinced by the audience counting in the screenplay and cinematography too. The transition in the scenes was quite fast paced thus leading to the disconnection during the flow of the movie.
