The biggest film of the year Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has released. And as expected, it is wreaking havoc at the box-office. The audience has given a warm reception to the film. It already set plenty of records before its release and the kind of response the film has received, there are many more to come. Five years of hard work of the entire team is now evident on the silver screen.
The S.S. Rajamouli-directed film is one of its kind that happens once in a lifetime. Words might fall short to do justice to the perseverance and commitment of Team Baahubali. Nonetheless, we offer you a glimpse into how well the team handled the various aspects of making Baahubali.
The story is by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad and the screenplay is written by Rajamouli himself. The story is highly inspired by Indian mythological stories. And it is very deeply rooted in rich Indian tradition and culture. The watertight screenplay found favor with the audience who in turn didn't mind repeat viewings of the film. As with every Rajamouli film, this one is also high on the emotional quotient. The dialogues are also so powerful you end up applauding all of them.
The cast of the film has given it their all. Standout performances come from Prabhas (Baahubali), Anushka Shetty (Devasena), Sathyaraj (Kattappa) and Ramya Krishnan (Sivagami). They have commanding screen presence throughout the movie. The other actors Rana Daggubati (Bhallala Deva) and Nassar (Bijjaladeva) are very convincing in their negative roles too. A special mention must be made of the hard work that Prabhas and Rana Daggubati have put into transforming their bodies for their respective roles.
The music by M. M. Keeravani is the soul of the film, which gives you goosebumps during the introduction of Baahubali, the war scenes and takes the movie to a different level. The background scores adds the perfect rhythm to the narrative of the film.
The production design by Sabu Cyril is world-class. Such huge canvas and grandeur are a visual treat for the audience. The kind of detailing in the huge sets of the Mahismati kingdom is the first of its kind in Indian cinema. The audience are bound to be mesmerized by the whole canvas.
Visual Effects and other technical aspects
The visual effects of the film have set new standards for Indian cinema. Undoubtedly, it is the most technically efficient film ever made in India. If the first part of the franchise left you in awe by its scale then the sequel will leave you speechless with its high-end visual effects. The experience will be remembered for a long time. The cinematography by K. K. Senthil Kumar is again something to look out for. The editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao could have been a little tighter but no one is complaining.
