Bollywood fans will be getting a dose of their own "Desi Catwoman" as Kangna Ranaut is all geared up in her new avatar for one of the most-awaited movies of the year – Krrish 3. The diva is playing a mutant in the film which of course, is inspired from Catwoman from The Dark Knight Rises played by Anne Hathaway. Kangna along with Viveik Oberoi will be playing negative roles in the movie. She will be seen sporting an all-rubber latex body-suit designed by Gavin Miguel. She will also be seen donning a specially-designed and a quirky hairstyle for the movie. Rumor has it that it used to take Kangna and the team almost two hours to get her fit into the body suit. Now imagine that! Let’s see how the fans take Kangna in this new badass avatar.
And that’s not all. Kangna is also making headlines for her forthcoming movie "Rajjo". After a series of movies where she played "the sad-troubled girl," Kangna finally gave her fans some comic relief with the Aanand L. Rai’s 2011 romantic-comedy, Tanu Weds Manu
opposite R. Madhavan, where is she also showcased her Bollywood
style latkas and jhatkas.
Kangna will be seen again in a very desi look in Rajjo. Directed by Sahitya Akademi Award winning writer Vishwas Patil, Rajjo is a romantic musical about a nautch girl "Rajjo" (Kangna Ranaut) and Chandu (Paras Arora of Veer Shivaji fame). Set against the backdrop of the fading kothas of Mumbai, the story revolves around the central characters – Rajjo and her love interest Chandu, a young Brahmin boy. The movie also stars Mahesh Manjrekar as a eunuch, playing the role of Begum who runs the kotha (brothel).
which starts with the song "Julmi re Julmi" is a not so impressive, even Kangna’s naughty expression and skimpy attire doesn’t help. But you definitely get the feel of the Bollywood of the ’80s and the ’90s. And if you are going for this movie, be ready to be bombarded with a chain of naach-gaanas, which is very obvious from the trailer.
No matter what, Kangna has come a long way from being an alcholic, suicidal, and drug-addict person and evolved into a superwoman and booty-shaking mujre wali.
Kudos to her!
