Dialoguebaazi: The Bachchan way!

Whether he’s playing the angry young man Vijay or the invincible Don or the friendly neighborhood ghost Bhoothnath; Amitabh Bachchan has always entertained us with his acting, style and, of course, his dialogues. This spectacular superstar is a champ of dialoguebaazi. From comical dialogues to romantic poetry, Bachchan’s dialogue delivery has inspired many.

It’s hard to believe that All India Radio declined him because they didn’t find his voice suitable enough. Nonetheless, Bachchan is now one of Indian cinema’s biggest icons.
Being filmy runs in every Indian’s blood. And it isn’t surprising that we indulge in dialoguebaazi pretty often too. To add more fun to your lives, here are six dialogues by none other than Mr. Bachchan that you can use.

Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hai, naam hai Shahenshah. -Shahenshah

Want to have your own Bachchan moment? Just say this line.

I can talk English, I can walk English, I can laugh English because English is a very phunny language. – Namak Halaal

Has someone ever made fun of your accent? Next time, just say this dialogue from Namak Halal out loud. Applause guaranteed!

Iss duniya mein tarakki karne ke liye… na bolna bahut zaroori hai -Agneepath

So true. But saying ‘no’ is difficult. Try out this dialogue from Agneepath. Bollywood always works. Say no in ishtyle!

Mujhe joh sahi lagta hai main karta hoon… woh chahe bhagwan ke khilaaf ho, samajh ke khilaaf ho, police, kanoon… yah phir poore system ke khilaaf kyun na ho. – Sarkar

And this for when you just don’t give a damn anymore!

Main aur meri tanhaai aksar yeh baatein karte hain. Tum hoti toh kaisa hota’.- Silsila

Love life issues? Well, ever tried Bachchangiri? Woo your beloved with some poetic lines.

Aaj mere paas bangla hai, gaadi hai, bank balance hai, kya hai tumhare paas? – Deewar

The answer to this question is always – Maa. But a little bit of filmy swagger is everyone’s right.

With Piku already in the theatres, we can’t be more excited! Catch the superstar in his quirky avatar, and always remember – "Insan ka emotion uske motion se juda hua rehta hai."
