Verdict: An intense love story of a pure soul.
Right from Swamy Ra Ra, Nikhil has vowed to do different cinema and has been successful in the form of Karthikeya and an average Surya v/s Surya. Whenever his new movie is announced, there are enough expectations generated among the audience and the same is the case with Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. For the first time, V.I. Anand and Nikhil have joined hands together for this project. Let’s see if the team was able to deliver another "different" movie.
The movie starts with Arjun (Nikhil) finishing his exam and running to the register office to get married with a girl he loves named Ayesha. But he is disappointed when Ayesha doesn’t turn up. This happens in 2012. The story then shifts to the current year where Vennela Kishore is suffering from a mental instability. A sadhu asks him to visit a temple in Kerala and get rid of his problems. Nikhil accompanies him to Kerala and discovers that there is a different soul inside Vennela Kishore. Sadhus in Kerala treats him successfully. Arjun meets Amala (Hebah Patel) and they begin to like each other. But Amala leaves Arjun without informing him. Arjun gets disappointed again but happens to see Amala at Hyderabad. Who is Amala? What happens when Arjun meets Amala? Will Amala recognize Arjun? Will Ayesha come back again? Is Ayesha someone else? The list of questions doesn’t end here. To know all these and much more, make yourself free for around three hours and enjoy this distinctively different film at a theatre near you.
After watching this flick, one can easily recognize Nikhil's exceptional ability to choose scripts that are different. He is a complete treat to watch and this is the best performance from him till date. Hebbah Patel is beautiful and has penned her role to perfection. The surprise package of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada is Nandita Swetha. For sure, she will be the top contender for the best debut this year. Not just beautiful, she had huge scope to exploit her acting abilities and she has excelled in it. Rest of the cast have done justice to their respective roles.
Written and directed by V.I. Anand, one has to appreciate the exceptional talent this guy exhibited in storytelling and direction. He is extremely successful in getting the audience glued to the edges of their seats, right from the title card till the end credits. Music by Sekhar Chandra is top class and so is the background score. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is top notch and editing by Chota is crisp.
Why You Should Watch This Movie:
No second thoughts! Go watch this movie as it is very different, and relish the experience of love beyond life.
