There is something about musical dramas that you just can’t ignore. If the musical is a Disney story, it’s obviously only getting more magical. So on a Sunday afternoon when I had the chance to review this English musical drama in a sing song dialogue format with comedy and action at Canvas Laugh Club, I was quite looking forward. Written, directed and choreographed by Rashmi Sharma, the multi-talented artist has beautifully put together this Disney story – A Fairytale of Rapunzel in a one hour musical that will make you nostalgic.

Play review - BookMyShowWith the pretty princess singing her feelings to the love of her life, the handsome prince, you almost feel like you are a part of this cute love story. The actors have performed phenomenally well and you are constantly on the edge of your seat waiting to watch what’s next even though you are aware of the story. With a theatre career spanning 20 years, founder of Progressive Theatre Group – Rashmi Sharma, has put in great efforts to make the musical as enjoyable as possible. The performance at various instances involves the kids in the audience which keeps the show lively.

The act is not very long and it’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your children. Kids were thrilled to be able to click pictures with their favorite Disney characters at the end of the performance and the actors were more than happy to do the same.

Play review - BookMyShowAll in all, this is an experience that can be enjoyed by kids as well as adults and is something you won’t regret.
