The twelfth edition of the annual India Art Fair (IAF), which celebrates the best of South Asian modern and contemporary art, will be held in Delhi from Thursday, January 30, 2020, to Sunday, February 2, 2020. Visitors can expect to see a wide range of art showcased by over 75 Indian and international galleries, some of which include new commissions that have rarely or never been presented before. The fair will also feature artist talks, performances, collector masterclasses and walk-throughs.
The line-up of Indian art galleries includes TARQ and Project 88 from Mumbai; Crayon Art Gallery and Vadehra Art Gallery from Delhi; Akar Prakar and Emami Art from Kolkata and Art Houz and Gallery Veda from Chennai. International galleries from Colombo (Saskia Fernando Gallery), New York (Marc Straus), Berlin (PSM Gallery) and Seoul (Gallery Tableau) will participate. Among the special showcases is an exhibition of pichvai art by revivalist Pooja Singhal.
Watch performances by theatre artist Maya Krishna Rao, Nigerian performance artist Jelili Atiku and multi-disciplinary artist Piyali Ghosh. And attend talks by Indian artist Nilima Sheikh, Bangladeshi-British artist Naeem Mohaiemen and veteran British photographer Martin Parr among other speakers.
