Renowned filmmaker and theatre director Feroz Abbas Khan is out with a new a Hindi musical, Raunaq and Jassi. Khan’s previous outing was the spectacle, Mughal-e-Azam. Written by Iqbal Raj, this play hinges on Raunaq and Jassi, who fall in love despite the disapproval of their rival families. Like Mughal-e-Azam, Raunaq and Jassi too will have live singing by the cast. The score is by music director Piyush Kanojia, the choreography by Mayuri Upadhya and the costumes by Manish Malhotra, all of whom worked on Mughal-e-Azam. The play will travel to other cities after the Mumbai run.
