The Symphony Orchestra of India’s Spring 2020 Season promises a diverse selection of performances. Here’s everything you need to know.

The Classical Style

French violinist Augustin Dumay joins accomplished Portuguese pianist, Maria Joao Pires to perform Beethoven’s third piano concerto, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4 and Mozart’s concerto for two violins in C major.
When: Sunday, February 16 at 5pm.

Musical Theatre Gala

Listen to pieces from beloved musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Les Misérables, conducted by British conductor David Bowling, who’s known for his work on The Lion King and Mary Poppins.
When: Thursday, February 20 at 7pm.

A Journey Of Oneness

Zane Dalal, Associate Music Director of the SOI, will conduct a special evening at which the SOI will join some of the biggest names in Indian music to perform an original piece composed by tabla maestro Zakir Hussain. The programme also features vocalists Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan and mezzo-soprano Kelley O’Connor.

A French Soiree

French composer and conductor Laurent Petitgerard and French pianist Jean-Phillipe Collard will come together to perform music by composers Saint-Saëns and Franck in their first SOI performance.
When: Sunday, March 1 at 5pm.
