Actor-producer Sonali Kulkarni plays Bollywood diva Mamta Basu in the NCPA production The Mirror Crack’d, which is based on Agatha Christie’s best-selling whodunit The Mirror Crack’d From Side to Side. In the play, Mamta Basu throws a party in her Goa home. It ends in murder. Miss Mistry, the Indian answer to Miss Marple, is roped in to investigate.
In this edition of Centrestage, our series of interviews with performers, Kulkarni tells us about her first time on stage, a role she’d love to play and a ritual she does before every performance.
