‘Ahalya B.D’

Directed by  Surendranath, this Kannada drama is an adaptation of the play Hedda Gabler by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. The plot revolves around a woman named Ahalya who, trapped in a boring marriage, longs to make a life for herself.

‘Vaaras’

Directed by Mangesh Kadam and written by Sneha Desai, this Gujarati drama (pictured above) tells the story of an ageing couple who find themselves in a dilemma when they’re forced to share their home with the Christian fiancée of their only son.
