Bollywood Punjabi Night with Hiten Panwar

Thermal and a Quarter

‘Dastan-ae-Maaya’

Performed in Hindustani by Shivangi Tewari, Dastan-ae-Maaya is a meditation on modern love by the titular character.

‘KL Saigal’

Writer and director M Sayeed Alam’s Hindi play on the life of playback singer KL Saigal is peppered with film songs, ghazals and semi-classical music.

‘Ek Mulaqaat’

Director Saif Hyder Hasan’s Hindi drama Ek Mulaqaat, starring Deepti Naval and Shekhar Suman, is based on the relationship between Punjabi writer Amrita Pritam and Hindi and Urdu lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi. While Pritam was open about her love for Ludhianvi, he remained non-committal.
