The upcoming weekend is brimming with exciting music events in Mumbai. Fans of Bolly tunes and indi-pop in particular have much to look forward to: concerts of old Hindi film numbers, a performance by Ankur and The Ghalat Family and a show by Punjabi star Guru Randhawa.

Nayaab Lamhe

Get carried away by the melodies of veteran ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas.

Ankur and The Ghalat Family

Spend the evening listening to catchy, crowd-pleasing Hindi pop tunes by singer-songwriter and composer Ankur Tewari (pictured above) and his band The Ghalat Family.

Saturday Night Jazz Episode 12

This instalment of Byculla restaurant Goyaa’s series of weekend jazz gigs will feature vocalist Shreya Bhattacharya along with Avishek Dey on bass, Anthony Cammarota on guitar and Yadhunandan Nagaraj on drums. Expect a jazz set flecked with funk and R&B.

SP Balasubrahmanyam

Bollyboom Guru Randhawa Tour

Burn up the dance floor at this concert by Guru Randhawa, the Bhangra and indi-pop singer behind such hits as ‘Ban ja rani’, ‘Suit suit’ and ‘High rated gabru’.
When: Sunday, May 26 at 7pm.
