There’s a host of things to do in Bengaluru this weekend from gigs by international metal bands and electronica acts to shows by well-known, homegrown comedians.

COMEDY

Loner Stoners

Four stoners – Himanshu Parikh, Namit Jain, Ketan Kumar and Sparsh Sinha – unwilling to forget the insane stories their minds cook up, come together to take you on a comedy trip.

ROFL Musical Night

Since we’re fans of musical comedy, we’ll be in the front row for this one . Watch stand-up comedians Sumaira Shaikh, Atul Khatri and Sorabh Pant team up with Delhi-based band Tarkash for three hours of entertainment.

Urooj Ashfaq + Srijan Kaushik 

Bengaluru’s very own Urooj Ashfaq teams up with Srijan Kaushik to bring you an hour of witty and self-referential humor.
When: Friday, February 8 at 9pm Saturday, February 9 at 8pm and Sunday, February 10 at 7pm.

KAN.U By Anshu Mor

In his new show Kan.U (pronounced can you), Anshu Mor shares observations on everything from feminism and affairs to those pesky people known as teenagers.

G-Shock Bangalore Open Air 2019

Catch American death metal band Suffocation and Norwegian black metal band Abbath perform at what’s considered to be the country’s biggest rock and heavy metal festival.

TroyBoi 

Get down to beats by British music producer TroyBoi aka Troy Henry, who plays a wide range of electronic music.

Winter Grooves

End your weekend on a mellow note at this gig by the multi-genre three-person acoustic band from Bengaluru .

‘The Hidden Truth’

Prashant Jade’s Hindi and English drama The Hidden Truth explores the ups and downs faced by married couple Avantika and Steve.

‘Muskanien Jhooti Hain’

Directed by Prashant Jade, the Hindi and English play Muskanien Jhooti Hain is a murder mystery in which Rahul is accused of murdering his father. When Rahul’s fiance presses the court to get the case re-investigated, new revelations emerge.

‘Pukkate Salahe’

In this satirical Kannada production by the group Vikasam written by H Dundiraj, an astrologer with his own TV show takes calls from troubled people across Karnataka and claims to solve their problems.
