‘Notes on Chai’

Directed and performed by Jyoti Dogra, Notes on Chai is a slice of big city life in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Dogra channels impressive voice skills to mimic characters and conversations that are recognisable as they’re part of the fabric of daily life. Her breath control is most evident when she draws out the sound of slurping chai over long seconds and when she makes deep, Tibetan chant-like sounds.
When: Tuesday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 20 at 6pm and 9pm.

‘Dekh Behen’

On the eve of staging an item number at the wedding of their friend, five bridesmaids meet to complain about the person they all dislike: the bride. The Hindi and English drama is directed by Prerna Chawla and Shikha Talsania and written by Dilshad Edibam Khurana and Tahira Nath.

‘Aadab Mein Premchand Hoon’

Museum Visit

Get a guided a tour of the terrific collections of the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, including the fine dioramas showing local life that were made by students of the JJ School of Art, vintage maps of the city and busts showing the various kinds of headgear worn by city folk in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
