While A Bad Moms Christmas releases on 10th November in India, the fathers will be getting into the Christmas spirit with Daddy's Home 2. A feel-good family comedy with double the dads celebrating Christmas, Daddy's Home 2 will definitely get you out of your home and to the theatres.
Director: Sean Anders
In Daddy's Home, Will Ferrell played a step-dad, Brad, whose home life is suddenly thrown into chaos with the arrival of the kids' biological father, Dusty, played by Mark Wahlberg. Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg made a remarkable comedy duo in Daddy's Home with them one-upping each other to be a better dad. The film ended with them sorting out their problems and Dusty finding a new family of his own with a single mother and her own cooler ex (John Cena), finding himself to be in the exact same situation as Brad was in the beginning.
In Daddy's Home 2, the two 'co-dads' who have now become best buddies, are joined by their own dads with Mel Gibson playing Wahlberg's father and John Lithgow playing Will Ferrell's father. While we saw the different personalities of Brad and Dusty mix in the first film, it will now be their dads who will be clashing. Lithgow is the lovable grandpa and Gibson is the cool, suave one.

Daddy's Home 2 will be directed by Sean Anders as well. He has directed Horrible Bosses 2 and even wrote the screenplay for We're The Millers. Almost all of the cast of the first film will be returning. The adorable kids played by Scarlet Estevez and Oscar Vacarro are back, so is the comedian Hannibal Buress who had a small but hilarious scene in the first film, and John Cena, who finally gets a name – Roger – and hopefully a larger screen time. Dusty's wife, played by Alessandra Ambrosio, the Brazilian model, is returning as well.
Daddy's Home was the highest grossing live-action film of Will Ferrell's career, so it will be interesting to see how the sequel will fare at the box office with a bigger cast.
