I am not kidding you (pun intended) when I tell you that my jaws were hurting after watching the adorable, bow-tie wearing and tatti joke-cracking Sahil Shah on a Thursday night. For those of you who don’t know him, Sahil Shah is one of the founding members of the irrefutably famous East India Comedy and has been in the comedy scene for over 7 years now. He describes himself as a 3 year old stuck in a 26 year Old’s body and boy, is he right!
The Thursday night kicked off at That Comedy Club with the host Suhas Navarathna making some witty conversations with the crowd for about 10-15 minutes as he introduced the main act on stage. Sahil Shah then kicked off the show with few of the best self-deprecating jokes to set the tone and also to “lower the standards of the audience”. He later went on to throw jibes at people, in a good way of course, with some hysterical A rated jokes! Crowd interaction is the best part about these shows. A true Mumbaikar at heart, his set included some hilarious punch lines that seemed apt in regard to the city and also included some traffic jokes that were all too familiar to Bangaloreans as well.
As the name suggests, he took the audience on a hilarious walk down memory lane with totally relatable 'Indian Mom' jokes and how it is to grow up in the 90s with a rather careful and eye-opening analogy of the cartoons watched.
Immaturity at its best, we suggest you catch the innocent and adorable Sahil Shah as soon as possible at one of his shows for a jaw hurting, side-splitting and wackily fun evening. You can also catch a dose of him on the East India Comedy space on Youtube for a sample of what's in store for you.
