Game Night is one of the most anticipated comedy releases of the year. It releases in theatres on February 23 and stars Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams in the lead roles, along with a great supporting cast that includes many actors known for their comedic timing. The cast is the reason you must watch this film, but we have more to convince you. If you have enjoyed any of these comedy movies, you shouldn't think twice before watching Game Night.
Game Night and Date Night are quite similar as they both have a couple whose nights go haywire because something goes horribly wrong. While Date Night starred Steve Carell and Tina Fey as a singular couple, Game Night has three couples, which means it's got to be thrice the fun.
Central Intelligence had a mild-mannered accountant brought into the world of the CIA when he meets an old friend. While Game Night won't have any terrorists, the couples do get tangled up with dangerous criminals and hijinks ensue.
If you loved The House for its comedic duo of Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, you will love the pairing of Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams in this one. Bateman has proven to be a great comedy star, and while McAdams has done more dramas recently, she did get her big break with the hilarious Mean Girls.
Jason Bateman is excellent at playing the 'straight man' in comedy movies and this was the movie where he was the best. He seems to be playing a similar character in Game Night, which seems to be just as good, if not better than Horrible Bosses.
The Man Who Knew Too Little
This Bill Murray comedy has a lot in common with Game Night. The Man Who Knew Too Little also had people who were supposed to be part of a fake crime, but instead get caught up in the real thing instead. If you enjoy seeing this wacky premise play out, you can't miss Game Night.
