Twenty years is a long time. But there are certain things which never age. Just like wine, few things in life just get better with age. The same goes for movies. The year 1995 saw many awesome movies, which with time became cult classics. In spite of the fact that it’s been 20 years, the memories of films like Seven, Braveheart and Bad Boys are fresh as ever! Even the bad ones are fun to watch. These films are like gulit-trips. But there are good films too, which will always keep you entertained. Maybe even after 20 more years!
Take a trip back to the colorful nineties this weekend. Here are five films from 1995 that you definitely need to rewatch.
This animated film made our childhood dreams come alive on the big screens. The film gave us unforgettable characters like Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky Dog and not to forget Mr. Potato Head! Voiced by talented actors like Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Annie Potts, Toy Story is a delightful film for all ages.
Everybody loves board games and little bit of adventure, and when both are combined the result is simply indescribable. Even though Jumanji didn’t receive positive reviews way back in 1995, this film starring Robin Williams is a true gem. No matter how many times you have watched the film, it never gets old! Some of us are still searching for a board game like this…
The Usual Suspects
Okay, you totally saw the twist coming… But come on, The Usual Suspects is one of the best crime thrillers ever made. Kevin Spacey made our jaws drop, like never before. Love or hate it, this film definitely deserves a rewatch just for the stellar performances.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls
Silly to the core. Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura series might annoy some, but you can’t ignore the fact that the film made you laugh like crazy. However stupid and overdone the gags seem, Ace Ventura is one madcap comedy that’ll always entertain you, without fail.
As kids we loved this film about an adorable "friendly" ghost Casper. Why to rewatch this film? Maybe you forgot how charming the scene was when Casper danced with Kat, their first kiss, and all the great early ’90s fashion 😉
Yes, we are getting old.
