From Bollywood to South Cinema

One of Akshay Kumar’s fan clubs recently leaked an image of his look in the Tamil film 2.0. The Khiladi of Bollywood plays the antagonist in the film and is almost unrecognizable in his latest avatar. The film is a sequel of sorts to Shankar’s 2010 hit, Enthiran (popularly known as Robot), and Rajinikanth will reprise his role of Dr. Vaseegaran. Though Akki is the first Bollywood male superstar to feature in a Tamil movie, in the past, many other actors from the Hindi film industry were seen in South Indian films. Not sure who they are? Most Rajinikanth’s films are known to have a famous Bollywood actress in it. For Enthiran, Shankar signed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the female lead. The movie was one of the biggest hits of 2010.

Rajinikanth’s next movie after Enthiran was directed by none other than his daughter, Soundarya R. Ashwin. This movie was made on a huge budget and featured some amazing special effects. Deepika Padukone played Princess Vandhana Devi, the love interest of Rajinikanth’s character, Ranadheeran.
