From director of Rush Hour – Brett Ratner, we get a sword-and-sandals epic. It is Hercules! The demigod whose legend inspired countless others to feats of heroism. But what of the hero, Hercules? If you are thinking that these stories deserve to remain myth then you are sorely mistaken. Hercules’ stories are relevant, more now than ever. To rise above a certain station and take the battle to the Gods, and in doing so, attain immortality. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars as the muscle bound Herc. But don’t be fooled, it isn’t all smash and run. Hercules is a man on a mission. And Dwayne Johnson plays this character to a tee. Along with him, we have John Hurt, Ian Mcshane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, the gorgeous Irina Shayk and Ingrid Bolsø Berdal.
With a cast such as this and a story which has its origins set in myth, Hercules is a movie to look out for.
