Exhilaratingly fast-paced, packed with tons and tons of action, and exhibiting world class weaponry, this movie is a definite should-not-miss for the guys, and gals of course, who have a feel for gadgets, technology and their irresistible combination.
The movie unlike many in its genre has not a single dull moment and keeps the viewer completely on the edge of the seat wanting to know what happens next. I’ve always liked the cartoon version that I’d seen ages ago on the idiot box and this one brought them back to mind. Unlike the telly version though, this one does more than excite the senses.
The story begins with weapons manufacturer McCullen trying to frame NATO for the theft of his metal-eating nanobots which have been packed in a non-volatile state for now. Here enters G.I.Joe, a special elite force, which is a relatively unknown anti-terrorist commandment. Duke and RipCord are two officers of the NATO who were part of the NATO team to ensure the safety of the nanobots. They soon join the elite force after a rigorous amount of training and are after the Baroness and her men to stop them from destroying the world by the nanobots they’ve hijacked from right under the G.I.Joe’s nose. In the ensuing battle, where Duke is taken prisoner and then manages to get rescued by the likes of Scarlett, Snake-Eyes and Heavy Duty, the Joes are battling to overpower one man who is out for World Domination!
The movie has enough of background info given at well-defined points and as a fan it was a good feeling to know what lies behind the face of the metal-mask commander of Cobra. The movie has its share of humour provided by Marlon Wayans who portrays the character of RipCord. All in all, the movie is a definite must-watch.
Go ahead and join in the action.
