All the world’s a troll, and Twitter merely the platform. We can barely keep up with the number of celebrities who have been blasted by both fans and haters on social media sites. One wrong move or tweet, and celebs have to face the waves of merciless online hatred. Trolls are ruthless, and they are oblivious to the fact that these celebs are people, too. People with feelings. Some have fought back, some have defended others in their battle against online trolls. Some have even given us relationship goals, by standing up for their partners. Check out who these celebs are:
Anyone who follows TV actor Karan Kundra or VJ Anusha Dandekar on Instagram can tell you that the couple are head over heels in love. So, when an online troll decided to have a go at the VJ on Instagram, Kundra was not having any of it. He jumped to defend his lady love against the hate. Read his full comment here:
Sidharth Malhotra was all geared up to fight the biggest troll of Bollywood – Kamaal R Khan. The Deshdrohi actor commented on Sidharth and Alia Bhatt’s Vogue cover, implying that Alia was too young to pose in her underpants. Sidharth rose to his lady’s defense and posted a simple tweet that took KRK down.
Indians can be so cricket crazy, that they will blame anyone and anything for a loss. So, when Virat Kohli wasn’t as fantastic as he is in every game, it was girlfriend Anushka Sharmawho had to bear the brunt of it. The actress, who is used to online trolls, simply brushed all the negativity away, but her beau rose up to her defense and posted this on his Instagram account:
Dimpy Ganguly recently gave birth to a baby girl, and like all other celebs, decided to share her joy on Instagram. However, one very clever user, who was a math topper in school, was quick to do the calculation and state that the baby was born only seven months into her marriage. To save Dimpy the trouble, her husband decided to shut the troll down with this very long comment:
Kim Kardashian West
Kim Kardashian and her husband are no strangers to online hate and abuse. But when Kanye’s tweets became too much for Twitterverse, his wife had his back. In a blog post on her personal website/app, titled Currently, she posted a collage of everything that was on her mind. It wasn’t much, because all the reality TV star was thinking about was Kanye West.
The singers were in an on-and-off relationship for years. Beliebers couldn’t handle the stress the couple was putting them through, and Selena Gomez was at the receiving end of their wrath. But Justin Bieber was not happy with his fans’ reactions and the negativity against Gomez. This is what he commented on their picture together:
The Scottish DJ locked horns with Zayn Malik when the latter called out his (now ex) girlfriend, Taylor Swift, on Twitter. The One Direction star applauded Miley Cyrus for her decision to release her music for free, comparing her to Swift, whose music is available on the paid app, iTunes. Calvin jumped to her defense through a series of Twitter rants, directed at Malik. The Twitter feud was short lived.
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have always supported each other on social media. John had Chrissy’s back when haters trolled her for being a bad mother. Chrissy defended John when he got into a Twitter feud with the KRK of Britain, aka Piers Morgan. The couple took him down with a simple, yet cute post, which involved their adorable daughter:
As long as celebrities have each other’s backs, no online force can take them down!
