Guardian of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Spiderman: Homecoming – Trailer Break

This week has been a special week for Marvel fans as they all received pre-Christmas gifts from the studios. This week we were treated to much-awaited glimpses of two highly anticipated movies next year. One is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and the other is Spider-Man: Homecoming. It took us about a week to moderate our crooning, gushing and awwing over Baby Groot

Marvel didn't want us to settle down just yet and we feasted our eyes on Tom Holland as he reprises his role as Peter Parker and we caught glimpses of his upgraded new suit and got to meet its creator Tony Stark. We are sure you might have seen the trailer multiple number of times and have managed to catch every small detail. Still, we have compiled a list of things you might have missed.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Baby Groot made our weekend just better by just showing up in the trailer. While people watched this trailer on repeat to hear him go "I am Groot", there might have been some details that were missed.

Gravity-defying sequence
The gravity-defying sequence in the first movie was one of its highlights and we might see Rocket bringing back that effect.

Ode to the comics

The scene where Drax takes that leap to fight the pink-looking alien is actually an exact copy of the Annihilation series.

New characters

The only recognizable new character is Mantis who has some extraordinary powers. In the comics, she was introduced as human. Let's see how the movie handles the change.

Spider-Man: Homecoming
This project seems very important to Marvel as they have roped in Robert Downey Jr. to guide Spider-Man rather than him having his own stand-alone movie. You definitely don't hear us complaining.

Howard Stark and Bruce Banner

These two prominent characters make blink-and-miss appearances. If you haven't caught them yet, see the screen shots above.

Vulture

Spider-Man is up against something, which wasn't seen in the movieverse yet – The Vulture. Played by Michael Keaton, this character seems to have his own army and access to some un-earthly weapons.

Iron Man and Spider-Man
In the closing shot of the trailer, we catch a glimpse of Iron Man and Spider-Man together and that is definitely something we cannot wait for.

Did you catch all these details? Tell us in the comments below and don't forget to share.
