One of the most talked about releases of this week is Hanuman Da' Damdaar, a film by director Ruchi Narain, which narrates the exploits of young Hanuman in quite an eccentric manner. The one reason why the film was awaited is that the filmmaker has chosen exceptional actors from the industry to give voice to the film’s animated characters. Salman Khan, no doubt, is the biggest name associated with the movie, but the film is full of spectacular voice overs by acclaimed artists like Javed Akhtar, Makrand Deshpande, Raveena Tandon and so on.
Most of the film’s reviews have emphasized on the contemporary lingo used in the film and the hilarity of the dialogues. This would not have been possible without the wonderful voice overs. Do you know who voiced whom in the film? Here is the complete list.
Salman Khan as Adult Hanuman
The adult Hanuman resembles Bhaijaan to quite a great extent and that makes it all the more fun to watch him voice the character rattling all his famous dialogues thus never letting the audiences forget that they are watching Salman Khan and not Hanuman.
Arnav as Young Hanuman
The young lad completely mesmerizes the audience with his innocent yet funny one liners. Arnav’s dialogues in the emotional scenes will melt your heart and will make sure that you find him completely adorable at the end.
Hussain Dalal as Garud
Javed Akhtar as Valmiki
Though Valmiki has a brief role in the film, it is enough to catch your attention as the legend Javed Akhtar is the voice of the character.
Makrand Deshpande a Vishrav
Whatever role he does, he puts his soul into it. Even here, Makrand Deshpande, as the voice for the film’s negative character Vishrav, gives a spotless performance.
Chunky Pandey as Lanka's Guide
Chunky Pandey voices a tourist guide in Lanka who has ridiculous stereotypical homosexual features and whose crass actions would either make you laugh loudly or hide your face in embarrassment.
Kunal Khemu as God Indra
Vinay Pathak as Popat Sharma
Popat Sharma’s reporter style reading of the sansani news about the jungle and its inhabitants seem to imitate a popular TV personality. We must say he completely rocked it.
Saurabh Shukla as Kesari
Saurabh Shukla’s quintessential accent and tone are difficult to miss and here, as Hanuman’s father Kesari, he does an exceptional job making us both cry and laugh effortlessly.
Raveena Tandon as Anjani
Raveena Tandon’s voice is difficult to recognize probably due to the fact that she had been missing from the film scene for a long time till Maatr released. Her dialogues could have been improved and made funnier. But the other voices just balance the entertainment quotient; so you need not worry.
Have you watched the movie yet? If no then go and watch these popular actors giving a voice to the characters in the most comical way. Do not forget to share your opinions with us. Read the review of Hanuman Da' Damdaar here.
