Happy Birthday, Lolo!

The girl with the dream face of the 90s – peaches-and-cream complexion, pink lips, curly hair, gorgeous light blue eyes – Karisma Kapoor – will bring in her 42nd birthday today. Dropping out of school to pursue her career in Bollywood at a mere age of 16, Karishma Kapoor or Lolo, as she is fondly called, was one of the top actresses of the 90s. From enchanting us with her innocent doll-like appearance in Andaz Apna Apna, her street-smart maneuver in Judwaa, to playing a strong-willed woman in Fiza and showcasing her acting prowess in Zubeidaa, Karisma showed us her versatility and proved she was more than just a pretty face. She won a National Award for her performance in Dil Toh Pagal Hai and also had a short stint on television – a reality show judge and a serial Karishma: Miracles of Destiny.

Bollywood of the 90s was all about those 5-minute songs with wacky dance steps and clothes. And if you recollect, Karisma too gave us some really catchy songs; songs that we can never forget. So what is better than celebrating her birthday by recollecting a few of her best songs, which were loved by the masses.

Sarkaiylo takiya, jaada lage

This song was one of the most controversial songs of Karisma`s career. With suggestive steps and lyrics, this song looked wrong but funny at the same time. It depends on how you take it.

What is mobile number

Govinda and Karisma shared a lovely chemistry and this was one of their many songs with stupid lyrics but great dancing.

Sexy Sexy

A controversial song again, Karisma was criticised for the word "sexy" in this song; a word which is used so loosely today.

Raste se jaa raha tha

Another one of those Govinda-Karisma songs, it was hugely popular among the masses.

Jungle hai aadhi raat hai

This song had a lovely ring to it and Salman and Karisma added to the beauty of the song.

We wish Karisma a very happy birthday and all the best for her future endeavors.
