We have come to the end of yet another glorious month at the movies. As promised, we're back to take you through all the films that hit theatres in the month of May.

As always there were many releases and as a cine-goer it would have been really hard for you to catch up with all. Well, you need not worry. We're here to help you find out how each one fared. From the ones that were must-watches to the ones that could just be spared that one watch, we have it all covered. Without wasting any time, let us take a quick look at what people loved in May.

HITS
Sachin: A Billion Dreams
Given our collective love for a man, whose name we turned into a chant, this film is something many have been waiting for since forever. Sachin: A Billion Dreams chronicles what we already know, but what makes it even more special is the fact that private moments from the cricketer's life are also shared.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge
Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar's Revenge seemed to have delivered on all the expectations one has come to attach with the series – a great script, some light moments and exceptional effects.

Jattu Engineer
Honeypreet Insan's film, Jattu Engineer, earned rave reviews from the audience for its great use of music and comedy.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 turned out to be a crowd-pleaser for its music, space fights and of course Baby Groot.

Hindi Medium
This comedy starring Irrfan Khan hit the right notes with the audience for highlighting some of the most relevant issues.

Everything, Everything
Based on the book of the same name, Everything, Everything seemed to have worked with audiences because of its touching story and beautiful songs.

Half Girlfriend
Half Girlfriend may have not impressed critics, but it definitely entertained the audience. It was considered endearing and the performance of the two protagonists, Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, was loved.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword
Guy Ritchie's latest outing, King Arthur: Legend if the Sword, received praise for its awe-inspiring story, VFX and editing.

Sargoshiyan
Sargoshiyan may not have been one of those hyped movies, however, it did impress afterall. It presents a refreshing picture of Jammu & Kashmir and has simple emotions.

In Regional Cinema:
This month we also had some regional gems that left the audience enthralled. Some of these include – Thondan (Tamil), Brindavanam (Tamil), Yeidhavan (Tamil), Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae (Tamil), Babu Baga Busy (Telugu), Keshava (Telugu), Rarandoi Veduka Chudham (Telugu), Sriramudinta Srikrishnudanta (Telugu), Happy New Year (Kannada), BB5 (Kannada), Pataki (Kannada), Comrade in America (Malayalam), Godha (Malayalam), Ramante Edanthottam (Malayalam), Arjan (Punjabi), Saab Bahadar (Punjabi), Lahoriye (Punjabi), Posto (Bengali), Ami Je Ke Tomar (Bengali), Karsandas Pay & Use (Gujarati), Oli Ki Suki (Marathi), Karaar (Marathi) and Chi Va Chi Sau Ka (Marathi).

MISSES
Some movies missed by a small margin and couldn't fare as well as the others. Here are a few – Enga Amma Rani (Tamil), Inayathalam (Tamil), Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen (Tamil), Radha (Telugu), Maasthi Gudi (Kannada), Achayans (Malayalam), Sarkar 3 (Hindi), Alien: Covenant (English), The Lost City of Z (English), The Sense of an Ending (English) and Karaar (Marathi).
