#10 Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Even an ensemble cast with some really mesmerizing numbers could not save this big budget Karan Johar film. It did make a lot of noise prior to its release but the story did not live up to the audience's expectations. The movie was a real debacle at the box office.
#9 Rock On 2
Magic was nowhere to be seen in this much awaited musical drama. The only thing that will cheer you up is the scenic beauty of Shillong. The music of Rock on 2 was another disappointment apart from the worn out and banal plotline and acting by the lead cast.
If a little more efforts were put into developing characters or the plotline, the film could have been saved. The film had raised a lot of expectations but this Aditya Chopra film disappointed the viewers.
#7 Baar Baar Dekho
The trailers seemed promising but when the film hit theatres, no one had an idea what the film was about or what the characters were doing. Despite the popular Kaala Chashma number, the film did not get a good response from the audience.
The only element worth mentioning about Mirzya is the wonderful film soundtrack by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. The debutants were stunning but the film lacked depth, which is something you would not expect from the director of blockbusters like Rang De Basanti.
#5 Udta Punjab
An intense crime thriller, Udta Punjab has everything; strong script, exceptional performances, riveting music and above all wonderful direction. It provides an inside glimpse at the problem of substance abuse, corruption in the system and deterioration of the urban youth.
#4 M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story
This is a truly inspirational story about a man who fought all odds to become the legend he is, at such a young age. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Dhoni fan or not, the movie is for everyone.
We are thankful to Twinkle Khanna for making the Khiladi choose such powerful scripts where we see him giving his finest performances. Airlift definitely deserves a lot of appreciation for depicting a sensitive issue beautifully on screen.
