Watching Hunterrr expanded my vocabulary.  I had never heard the term vaasugiri before.  Vaasugiri means vaas lena or to sniff.  Our hero, Mandar Ponkshe played by Gulshan Devaiah, is a Vaasu, which means he’s an expert at sniffing out sex.  He’s the hunter in the title.  Early in the film, Mandar compares sex to excretion – both he says, are a physical need.  And therefore, he reasons: Pakne ka sawal hi nahin hai. This opening is unexpected.  The lines are casually clever.  And Mandar’s childhood sequences, including a relative who pees everywhere and a superbly funny childhood episode in which Mandar is caught watching pornography, raised my expectations.
