The countdown for India Bike Week in Goa has started. With 70 days to go, bikers from India and across the world are excited for this Goa events 2013.
Popularly known as the Woodstock of biking festival, India Bike Week in Goa is the first and only festival of the nation that purely revolves around bikes, bikers and music. Scheduled for January 17 – 18, 2014 this is the second edition of the festival. The first edition of this Goa events 2013 witnessed 6,500 bikers and biking enthusiasts come to the festival happening at the grounds in Vagator, Goa. The weekend festival hosted over 26 live bands and DJs, 3 concert stages, 16 cage fighters, race tracks, stunt zones and more. With over 10,000 people expected to attend, India Bike Week 2014 is going to be larger and louder.
The latest interesting news related to India Bike Week is that Harley Davidson (HD) unveiled its two new motorcycles, built on an all-new platform – the Street 500 and Street 750. Of the two new Dark Custom motorcycles, the Street 750 will make it’s Indian debut at the India Bike Week 2014. HD has not announced the launch date for Street 500 yet.
The specifications for both the new Dark Custom motorcycles – Street 750 and the Street 500 are almost identical, apart from the 749cc and 494cc engines, respectively. Both feature 6 speed transmissions, 2-into-1 exhausts, 17″ front and 15″ rear tyres. It is expected that both the motocycles will roll into the stores across the US, Italy, Spain, Portugal and India by the second quarter of the next year. The company will ship 7,000-10,000 Street 750 motorcycles from its new plant Bawal, Haryana. The retail price in the US for the Street 750 is $ 7,500 while the 500 will be for $ 6,700. We expect both of them to be available in India under Rs. 5,00,000.
This second edition of the Goa events 2013 is the best place a biker could be at, for a weekend. India Bike Week in Goa wants to make it the largest motocycling festival in the coming five years. The festival organizers want to grow the festival by bounds and leaps to such an extend that it becomes the most important appointment in the calenders of the bikers across the world, which they can’t afford to miss.
