Television is teeming with good-looking men, and How To Get Away With Murder has given us another one. Jack Falahee, who plays Conner Walsh on the thriller drama series, stole our hearts in spite of being a complete douche. He is arrogant and does not seem to care about people’s feelings. Yet, we can’t help but be drawn to him, because we know that on the inside, he’s one of the good guys. Conner was also one of the first gay characters on television to not be defined by his sexuality. Just because he’s gay does not mean he’s effeminate, victimized, or raging with hormones. Conner is effortlessly cool and works hard to get what he wants.
But while we know all about Conner Walsh, it is actor Jack Falahee who remains a mystery. Jack turns 28 today, and here are some lesser known facts about the birthday boy:
He's not gay IRL.
Our most favorite gay character on television is actually heterosexual. Jack was once very secretive about his sexuality, as he didn’t want to attract too much attention to a subject that he felt did not matter. However, playing a gay character on television made him realize that he could use his voice to lend support to the gay community. This is part of what he posted on Instagram:
He’s a Potterhead.
Yes, Jack is a Harry Potter fan and has even been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. While Jack hasn’t divulged his Hogwarts house, we think he may be a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff, unlike his character who is a total Slytherin. Jack’s Patronus is a Dolphin, which he shared with us on Instagram:
He is very different from the role he plays on TV.
Unlike his nasty character, Jack is very sweet IRL. He is great friends with all his co-stars and even pokes fun at Matt McGorry (Asher Millstone) on Twitter. While on the show he doesn’t seem to care about the world falling apart, he is well aware of the issues we face in reality, and often voices his opinions on social media:
He is a feminist.
Jack is pro-gay rights, pro-trans rights, and pro-women’s rights. He has openly admitted to being a feminist, and was even a part of the popular Women’s March earlier this year. Rest assured, he’s not very happy with the current political climate and is not afraid to be vocal about it.

He’s rooting for Daenerys to take over the Iron Throne.
Jack is a die-hard fan of Game of Thrones (who isn’t?) and wishes to see Daenerys Targaryen take over the Iron Throne of Westeros. We guess he’s not a huge fan of Jon Snow. But then, Jon Snow knows nothing!
“@joshbatayen: @RestingPlatypus would you rather see Daenerys sit on the Iron Throne or Jon Snow?”
wow, you know nothing Jon Snow

He’s a foodie!
If you follow Jack Falahee on Instagram, you can see that he loves food. He won’t refrain himself from junk food either, like most celebrities do. In fact, he has confessed to eating from In-N-Out Burger in preparation for his sex scenes.
The love of his life is his dog, Banjo.
If not food, Jack’s Insta feed is all about his dog, whom he has named Banjo. Banjo is his love, he is his life, he was even his Valentine this year. Jack shares a great bond with his pet and cannot refrain himself from posting pictures of Banjo. We don’t mind, though!
His favorite movie is Toy Story.
While a part of one of the most intense crime dramas on television, Jack himself is an animation fan. He loves watching animated movies and Toy Story is his favorite. This just proves our theory that in reality, Jack is a real softie at heart.
Toy Story is one of my faves
